A MARRAKECH ESCAPE

A LITTLE MARRAKECH MAGIC: AMANJENA

We’ve just had some clients return from the fabulous Amanjena in Marrakech, and of course, they had the best time!

Amanjena is one of the gorgeous Aman properties (we like to think of ourselves as Aman experts!) and is a beautiful resort just outside Marrakech. With spacious private villas, many with their own pools, and lovely views across the olive groves and palm trees towards the Atlas Mountains, it’s a really special place to stay.

If Marrakech is on your list, Amanjena will always be one of our top picks. It offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, while still being close enough to explore the souks, palaces and restaurants. You really do get the best of both!

5 Reasons we LOVE Amanjena:

1. A Little Escape from the City

Just outside Marrakech, Amanjena feels like a world of its own, with beautiful gardens, palm

trees and peaceful courtyards.

2. Private Villas with Pools

The spacious villas are perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city, with many offering their own private pool.

3. Views of the Atlas Mountains

Surrounded by olive groves and palm trees, with the Atlas Mountains in the distance, the setting is pretty special.

4. Close to the Action

You’re just a short drive from Marrakech’s medina, souks and restaurants, making it easy to explore the city before heading back to somewhere a little quieter.

5. The Aman Touch

From the thoughtful service to the beautiful design, everything feels considered. It’s luxurious without being over the top, which is exactly what Aman does so well.

We get some amazing perks when booking Aman properties, so if you’re planning a stay, make sure you book through us!

We absolutely love the Aman properties and will always recommend them to our clients! Our close relationships with the teams mean we can add that extra special touch to your stay and make the whole experience even more amazing.

CHRISTMAS IN THE ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE

THE DREAMIEST ITALIAN CHRISTMAS AT RESCHIO

If you fancy a change from the slopes or the beach this Christmas, we love the idea of retreating to Reschio. Its beautifully restored farmhouses, scattered across the Umbrian countryside on the Tuscan border, mean roaring fires, long lunches and room for everyone.

Christmas is quite special here. There’s a candlelit procession through the estate, woodland picnics, sung Mass in the chapel and a gospel choir on Christmas Day. We also have our eye on Palmieri, the newest house, with three double bedrooms, a bunk room and its own private Bath House.

And if a quiet Christmas calls for a livelier New Year, Reschio’s invitation-only Jazz Festival brings big-band jazz, a Havana-style casino night and dancing late into the night. The three-night celebration runs from 29 December to 1 January, exclusively for guests staying on the estate.

P.S. Make a longer trip of it with a few nights in Rome at two of our favourites, La Minerva or Hotel Eden, perfect for the entire family.

NEXT STOP, PARIS

Hannah is off to Paris for DUCO France 2026 and there’s plenty to look forward to. She’ll be catching up with some of our most beloved travel friends, meeting the people behind new and upcoming hotels in France, and finding out about exclusive experiences worth planning a trip around.

We’ll share more next week. In the meantime, follow along on Instagram @hannahtravelconcierge.

WHERE TO STAY IN PARIS?

You already know some of our favourite luxury hotels in Paris. But choosing between them is less about which is “best” and more about how you like to spend your time in the city. A boutique address with a view? A grand Parisian institution? Or somewhere that feels like a well-kept secret?

A. BOUTIQUE, WITH A VIEW: Hôtel Grand Powers:

A beautiful boutique option, with Eiffel Tower views from selected rooms and an intimate feel that makes it easy to settle in. We love it for a mother-daughter weekend or a few days à deux, with plenty of time for shopping, long lunches and no particular plans. Our advice? Make the room with a view part of the occasion.

B. THE PARIS ICON: Four Seasons Hotel George V:

For a grand arrival and a stay that feels like an occasion from the moment you walk through the doors. Think extraordinary flowers, elegant surroundings and service that makes everything feel effortless. A favourite for celebrations—or simply because you’ve decided this is the trip to do Paris properly.

C. IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW: Hôtel Barrière Fouquet’s Paris:

A famous name, but a hotel that feels wonderfully intimate and private. It’s the care and attention to detail that we love here: the small touches that make a stay feel personal. One we particularly enjoy introducing clients to, especially those who like a discreet retreat after a day out in the city.

A, B or C? Let us know your Paris pick - and we’ll help you choose the right room.
